The ultimate freeride touring binding, the new Atomic Shift² 10 MN combines downhill power with a hybrid ski/walk function to offer the best of both worlds: the mobility of an insert-style binding for ascents and alpine stability for descents. The Micro AFD features a Power Block aluminium insert that supports the AFD, whilst allowing micrometric adjustment for an extremely precise fit with the boot interface. Extensively tested by the Atomic freeride team, the new binding offers 30 per cent more lateral stiffness for better power transfer and increased durability. The wider toe piece fins offer better impact resistance, and the solid toe piece lever provides greater stability and durability. The more robust brake pedal improves the locking mechanism to prevent accidental release, whilst the redesigned climb aid has been optimised to add 4 mm of height with every step.
